More Than Baseball. More Than a Team.
Desert Drillers was built for players who love the game and families who want a healthier version of club baseball.
We want the boys challenged.
We want them competing.
We want them learning how to work, take coaching, handle mistakes, and become better teammates.
We just do not believe childhood needs to become one long
baseball audition to make that happen.
Built Different On Purpose.
Club baseball can become a constant chase for the next team, bigger tournament, different coach, or promise of something better.
That is not what we are trying to build.
We want players who have the chance to grow together.
Teammates who become friends.
Families who actually know one another.
A program people want to invest in instead of constantly looking for the exit.
That does not mean winning does not matter.
It does.
The boys know the score.
So do we.
We just know there is more being developed here than a batting average.
-
Competitive baseball built around strong fundamentals
-
Two to three practices each week
-
Primarily Tucson competition with limited Phoenix travel
-
No regular Sunday practices
-
Multi-sport friendly
-
A close-knit team culture built on accountability, loyalty, and respect
-
Coaches and families who remember these are still kids
What That Looks Like
Family Built Really Does Mean Family Built.
Our players are teammates on the field and friends away from it.
And somewhere between practices, tournaments, folding chairs, and hotel weekends, the parents became friends too.
That matters to us.
A strong team culture does not happen because everybody wears the same jersey.
It happens because people show up for each other.
That is the kind of environment we want to keep building.
Desert Drillers + Redbird Youth Athletics
Desert Drillers Baseball operates under Redbird Youth Athletics, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Redbird Youth Athletics provides the nonprofit structure behind the program, helping us fundraise, work with community partners, support families when resources are available, and continue investing in opportunities for our players.
Our Promise to Every Family
We will coach with purpose.
We will expect effort.
We will communicate honestly.
We will protect the culture we are building.
And we will remember that these boys have plenty of time to figure out where baseball takes them.
Right now, we are giving them somewhere good to grow.
